The Manager, Special Collections Operations oversees daily operations, public service delivery, and collection stewardship for Toronto Public Library’s Special Collections across the Toronto Reference Library and Lillian H. Smith Branch, leading a team of about 35 staff while guiding service development, programming, and community engagement. The role is responsible for managing rare and archival collections, setting and monitoring goals and budgets, developing partnerships, supporting fundraising, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and maintaining safe, accessible, and responsive services that align with organizational priorities.
