POSITION SUMMARY


The Digital Media Manager bridges the gap between data and meaning. Part detective, part scientist, part storyteller, the role has elements of media planning, performance analysis and client service. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, a solid track record of developing and executing media strategy, and a strong media background in digital, and the ability to multi-task while under tight deadlines with team members from various disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Supervise media planning functions and staff within TMP’s Media and Analytics groups including: digital media objective and strategy development, vendor recommendations and negotiations, building relationships with clients and cross-functional agency teams, overseeing data integration and in-depth analysis of online media campaigns, communicating industry trends and managing special projects.

 

·         Manage, mentor and motivate direct reports in order to encourage their professional development while providing daily supervision and guidance

·         Lead support team consisting of Media Planners and Analysts to support client’s media/web/social/mobile objectives

·         Work directly with clients and account teams to understand overall objectives and how they relate to a client’s media/web/social/mobile presence

·         Use this client knowledge to build integrated media plans that achieve client goals

·         Analyze the results and make optimization recommendations while the media is live and use empirical data to improve results for the next buying cycle

·         Write customized analysis including online media, search engine campaigns, social metrics, mobile metrics, and web analytics that highlight campaign strengths and weaknesses and provide actionable insights on campaign performance

·         Tell the full media story of the campaign lifecycle from inception through optimization to results, and do so in a client-facing, consultative manner

·         Work closely with media to negotiate packages to offer the best value to clients

·         Manage multiple projects and clients at any given time

·         Present complex concepts and metrics in a user-friendly way

·         Communicating any changes to the field and technical teams relating to our tracking methodology

·         Looks at our products and associated available metrics - and advises how to use them / integrate them with overall platform

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·         Bachelors Degree

·         7+ years (combined) experience with online media planning and web/media analytics and reporting

·         3+ years digital or online advertising industry experience preferred

·         2+ years of people management experience required

·         Ability to work with MS Office product suite including exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills, Access a plus

·         The ability to manage multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment and meet tight deadlines

·         Be a self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team

·         Strong written and verbal communication, organization, negotiation and troubleshooting skills

·         Availability to travel up to 10% of the time

·         Recruitment advertising experience

·         Google Analytics certification or equivalent experience

·         Knowledge of social metrics (i.e., Facebook & YouTube insights)

·         Experience using comScore and 3rd party ad serving technology (i.e., DoubleClick)
