We are a premium manufacturer and distributor of plastic containers used in the potted plant industry. We are suppliers of choice to some of the largest retailers in the world.
POSITION SUMMARY |
We require a talented and
hard-working professional who can provide outstanding sales, customer service,
and marketing support services. This is an entry level job, but the level of
responsibility is very high. We need a
fun, well organized, easy going employee to keep up with our growing
business. This is an opportunity to
launch or re-launch your career. The
executive and sales team will be your primary partners. Crazy attention to
detail and organizational skills are the core requirement of this role. For example, you need to find and fix
mistakes in approved orders submitted by our clients (…knowing you are the
solution not the problem). You need to
have checklists of your checklists. The office environment is solid … staff
turnover is almost zero. Our employees work hard and play hard. There is very
little evening or weekend work but you will be so busy during the day that you
won’t notice what time it is. On a typical day, you will be handling calls from
the World Headquarters of North America’s largest retailers and speaking with
shipping companies from China to South Carolina. You will also be confirming order details,
updating presentations and organizing trade shows. To be successful, your phone skills and
customer service attitude need to be better than everyone else you know.
PowerPoint and Excel skills are also important for your success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES |
Sales Support:
·
Provide
quotes for new orders to clients in a timely manner. Refine and adjust quote
details as required
·
Confirm
purchase orders (PO’S) with clients and coordinate production and delivery
dates with our factory
·
Input
and verify various details for each new order into company computer system. e.g. number of units, delivery date, size, colour, thickness
etc.
·
Send
order confirmations to clients
·
Build
client master order sheets. i.e. help consolidate large order details into one
user friendly spreadsheet
·
Optimize
shipments. i.e. make sure partial orders are consolidated
·
Work
with third party vendors to ensure accurate activation of new product bar scan
codes (Universal Product Code or UPC)
·
Assemble
and send sample packs to clients
·
Some light overnight
travel across Canada and the U.S. may be required to help assist with client
presentations and tradeshows
Marketing
Support:
·
Assist
with development and production of all presentation materials
·
Customize,
update and edit multiple PowerPoint presentations
·
Assemble
sample binders, upload photos, edit website
·
Ensure
prototypes and samples are sent to client meeting locations
Office
Support:
·
Assist
with hotel, car and flight bookings for all staff
·
Act as key liaison
between the design, sales, production, logistics and accounting groups. i.e. be
the key contact in the office who makes sure communication channels are open
·
Keep detailed notes at
all meetings and summarize action items and deliverables for various teams
·
Various
other duties as required
Customer support:
·
Answer
and respond to various client enquiries by phone and email
·
Return
messages and proactively update clients regarding the status of their orders
·
Provide
ongoing communication of shipping details between factory and clients
QUALIFICATIONS: |
·
This
whole role is all about being well organized with an extreme focus on managing
details
·
PowerPoint
and Excel skills are very, very helpful
·
A
proven strong customer service attitude will make this job easy for you
·
General
marketing and sales skills will be put to good use in this role
