JOB DESCRIPTION


The Project Manager will oversee the planning, management, implementation, and tracking of projects to ensure objectives are met on time and within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overall completion, implementation, execution and direction on assigned projects.
  • Prepare and update project plans and required project reports and documentation.
  • Monitor accounting reports for labor, overhead, materials and other project costs to meet budgeted targets for assigned projects.
  • Maintain project management contact with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate efforts of personnel assigned to project. Defines tasks, tracks progression and assignments to ensure successful/complete execution on time and within budget.
  • Establish contractor/vendor scope and manages task to ensure completion.
  • Prepare and tracks project status and provides accurate, timely communication.
  • Capable of managing greenfield or brownfield initiatives including full planning and implementation.
  • Support development of safe manufacturing processes.
  • Support capital projects for new equipment, processes or facilities.
  • Coordinate the launch of core products/process improvements into production operations.
  • Prioritize various projects and tracks using sound project management principles.
  • Coordinate the launch of new products into production operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science degree Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 10+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment; 5 of which involve project management of multiple initiatives including plant start-ups.
  • Practical Lean principles experience with proven success.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD.
  • Planning - an ability to think ahead and plan over a 3-6 month time span.
  • Strong leadership experience and strong team player
  • Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Quality orientation and attention to detail.
  • PMP or similar project management training knowledgeable with standard facility requirements, building codes, equipment requirements and regulations.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude and desire to work in a hands on manufacturing environment for extensive periods of time.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
