JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manufacturing Process Engineering Manager will develop and implement production processes, methods and controls to meet design and quality standards in the most cost effective manner and drive continuous improvements within core process areas of our manufacturing operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Operations with plant layouts to maximize facility utilization.
- Design, develop and test machinery/equipment using sound engineering principles.
- Safely launch new machines/processes/new methods and tools into operations.
- Layout manufacturing or assembly areas using Lean and sound manufacturing engineering principles.
- Implement and maintain process controls through advanced product quality planning (APQP) techniques (FMEA, mistake proofing, etc.).
- Ensure implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECN) into process tools and equipment.
- Maintain study/facility/equipment design documentation.
- Use formal problem solving techniques to identify and resolve complex problems.
- Participate in Safety programs.
- Develop and maintain all process documentation (i.e. standard work, work instructions, etc.) to ensure accuracy.
- Assign proposed product engineering changes for manufacturing impact and feasibility.
- Support capital projects for various plant projects requiring new equipment or structures etc.
- Facilitate training for critical equipment and/or processes (welding, caulking, foaming).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing)
- Minimum 10-15 years’ experience laying out assembly lines or areas
- 10-15 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with plant start-ups and full plant layouts
- Familiar with cranes and fabrication equipment a plus
- Understands equipment requirements, codes and regulations
- Sound engineering and leadership skills
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing and solving complex problems
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects
- Results Driven
- Knowledge and demonstrated skills in Lean Manufacturing
- Self-starter
- Ability to manage multiple projects / assignments simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to build strong and sustainable relationships
- Skilled in team building and demonstrated experience in effectively working with cross functional teams to get results
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, and AutoCAD
- Knowledge and demonstrated application of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of design engineering
- Lean manufacturing principles and techniques
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
