OPERATIONS MANAGER - STAFF COORDINATION - KITCHENER
OVERVIEW
In this key position you will provide leadership to enable a well-organized, smooth running and efficient home health care service. Your primary focus is to manage STAFF OPERATIONS such as coordinating nurses, personal support workers (PSW's) and additional resources to ensure optimal client care. Paramed helps people stay in their homes for as long as possible while retaining their health, independence and dignity. Your work on our London operations team will directly result in a better quality of life for hundreds of people, many of whom may be related to your neighbours, friends and family.

SALARY - $85,000 plus benefits

Your work will help Paramed to:
- Optimize e.g. schedule more time with patients, less time on the road
- Standardize e.g. introduce best practices for scheduling
- Organize e.g. easily update digital records and patient information
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee three supervisors and approximately 200 staff
- Manage operational staffing aspects of a large community care team including development and monitoring of budgets
- Ensure operational efficiency and client satisfaction
- Determine workforce requirements including assignment of staff and timing of in-home patient visits
- Ensure contract standards are met such as high-quality and consistency of service
- Prepare variance reports to support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Assure compliance for non-clinical aspects of care plans including assignment of appropriate staff, consistency and frequency of in-home visits, overtime requirements and training plans
- Provide succession plan with growth opportunities for high-performing team members
- Approve time off requests for internal/office staff and approves overtime for field staff
- Collaborate and work closely with care and service teams to ensure high quality client care
- Ensure consistent and accurate records management e.g. chart retrievals
- Ensure accuracy of payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Work closely with clients to manage their non-clinical requests
- Additional duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least two (2) years of leadership or management experience
- General operations experience (health-care background is not necessary)
- Post-Secondary degree or equivalent work experience
- Personal vehicle is required for site visits and district travel (paid mileage)
