ABOUT THE TORONTO PARKING AUTHORITY (TPA): The TPA is the largest supplier of municipal parking in North America and manages approximately 59,500 "Green P" parking spaces. This includes approximately 18,500 on-street parking spaces; 41,000 off-street parking spaces; and provides access to 6,850 bicycles across the City of Toronto. TPA, maintains 139 surface lots, 26 municipal garages and manages an additional 141 lots for various third parties. Revenue generated in 2021 was $93 million with a $19.7 million dividend paid to the City of Toronto. The Bike Share program recorded a record 3.5 million rides with more than 12 million kilometers travelled in 2021. The Green P mobile app has been downloaded 1.4 million times generating more than 62 million mobile pay transactions. Since 2002, Toronto Parking Authority has contributed more than $1.3 billion to the City of Toronto to fund important municipal services and programs, including affordable housing, transit and parks development. TPA is focused on becoming an integrated part of Toronto’s transportation network and is committed to supporting Climate Action through its expansion of Electric Vehicle charging and Bike Share services.
